Four to six of our senior company members and instructors will lead you through 45-60 minutes of dance pieces from our repertoire, as well as constructed pieces for the children. The children will be exposed to classical ballet, modern, jazz and character dance as well as pieces constructed from literature, complete with costumes and often props. - We will need a supportive space, approximately 25' x 30' - A changing area for the dancers - We can provide our own sound equipment if the school does not offer one - We offer a question and answer period after the program if time allows - We can meet with individual classroom students and teachers for additional movement experience and questions | | Lansing Chamber Dance DOES... We can come to your school and provide an on-site, hands-on opportunity for your students to participate in a great movement experience. Qualified dance educators will offer a wide range of experience that is sure to leave your students with a new way of communicating. It will be an education in the different forms and styles of dance. - In a creative way, the instruction can be worked into your class curriculum to help you facilitate the ideas more frequently. - Students are provided an opportunity to explore dance movement in a non-threatening way. (There is no right or wrong way, only a different and more creative way to approach the tasks.) - Boys as well as girls will benefit and enjoy the experience of exploring and moving in ways they have possibly never moved before. - Positive movement experiences provide individuals the opportunity to develop their physical and emotional skills, to solve problems, take risks, and enhance their self esteem. - The challenges offered through these movement arts enables students to see and explore the various forms and styles of dance, and learn to integrate them into everyday life, i.e. jobs and sports Basic Rates per class: Pre-school through first grade, 30 minute class: $30.00* Second grade through eighth grade, 45 minute class: $50.00 High School, grades 9-12, one hour class: $70.00 *A minimum of $50.00 is charged to come to your school. Prices vary on extended teaching residencies. Travel costs outside 25 mile radius of Lansing is added. Basic Rates per performance: One school performance: $500.00 Two school performances: $1,000.00 Optional classroom visits: $75.00 |
